Southern States LLC, the provider of switching, automation and protection solutions to utilities, is providing a preview of their new T-FDIR solution at IEEE PES 2018.

"T-FDIR offers a new, more efficient way of improving the restoration process for transmission line networks. By implementing this solution, utilities can enjoy greater system reliability, significant cost savings and reduced customer interruption durations," said Buddy Reneau, manager of the automation and sensors division of Southern States.

With pilot projects being finalized with several North American utilities, the T-FDIR solution delivers:

  • Isolation & restoration ensured within three recloses
  • Easy installation / minimal maintenance
  • Lower SAIDI minutes relative to traditional methods
  • Reduction of lost revenues, labor costs, and regulatory penalties
  • Higher levels of end-user satisfaction

Attendees of IEEE PES 2018 in Denver can learn more at Southern States' T-FDIR Product & Solutions Showcase in Room 709 on Wednesday, April 18th at 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. (Mountain Daylight Time).

Individual demonstrations can be arranged at the Southern States booth (#2572) by contacting Buddy Reneau at b.reneau@SouthernStatesLLC.Com.
