Proving that Saf-T-Gard is dedicated to continually advancing its line of electrical safety products, the company is pleased to announce the arrival of its new Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves at The 2022 IEEE PES T&D Conference and Expo in New Orleans, Louisiana, April 25-28, 2022, at booth #4511. These gloves are designed to be soft to the touch and hard on protection while offering high-voltage electrical workers an unequaled alternative to standard leather protector gloves. Made using a soft NuBuck premium grain cowhide leather, the Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves deliver maximum comfort, flexibility and dexterity that protects against cuts, abrasions and punctures and will not absorb dirt, oil, grit, grime or moisture. Moreover, the gloves are sewn with leather binding and include a straight thumb design that has a thumb strap to reinforce safety in critical wear areas.
The Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves are crafted by leather glove specialists to fit properly over straight and bell cuff industry-standard rubber insulating gloves and are intended for use with class 1, 2, 3 and 4 rubber insulating gloves. Additional features and benefits include a red, durable split leather gauntlet cuff to extend protection past the wrist, a gunn cut pattern for easy wear and a leather strap and metallic buckle to comfortably secure the gloves to the workers' hands.
"Saf-T-Gard identified the need for electrical workers in high-voltage applications to have softer, more durable yet flexible leather protector gloves in order to increase the chances of them being worn, and the new Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves do just that," said Richard Rivkin, Saf-T-Gard CEO and Chairman of the Board. "The new Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves are so comfortable that utility workers, power and communication linesman, electrical contractors, plant and facility maintenance technicians and electrical field service technicians in rubber gloving, hotstick and other various high-voltage operations will actually want to wear them, and they can feel confident in knowing that they are being protected by the Voltgard® division of Saf-T-Gard with more than 30 years of delivering superior safety products and services for all industries requiring arc flash and electrical compliance and protection."
All Saf-T-Gard® Voltgard® Supreme Leather Protector Gloves are dual-sized to fit whole and half sizes in rubber insulating gloves, i.e. - size 9 fits both 9 and 9 ½ rubber insulating gloves, are offered in sizes 7-12 and are available in 12" (VLP-412) and (VLP-414) 14" lengths.
